    Heads of Drug Depots and leaders in charge of health product procurement in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) have stated that the Tanzania Drug Depot (MSD) has become a role model in the countries of the community.

    They have also said that the MSD will be a catalyst for unifying development and boosting the African economy due to its effectiveness in ensuring access to reliable medicines and health products.

  • Pharmacists and Laboratory Specialists in the Country, Called to Pay Attention to Their Responsibilities

    Pharmacists and Laboratory Specialists in the Kagera Region have been asked to recognize that the heart of the health sector lies in the availability of medicines and medical equipment and that ensuring that these products are not lacking in service delivery centers.

    This was stated by the Chief Physician of the Geita Regional Hospital, Omary Sukari, at a discussion session on the availability of health products in the Kagera region, which includes the Saba district of the Kagera region and three districts of Geita.

  • MSD Comes Up with Special Procurement Solution

    The Chairperson of the MSD Board of Trustees, who is also the patron of the MSD Kagera Zone, Ms. Rosemary Slaa, has assured health professionals from Kagera and Geita Regions that the Drug Depot (MSD) continues to make improvements in the availability of health products in the country, for example the timely availability of medical equipment and laboratory reagents.

  • MSD and Dar es Salaam Regional Health Stakeholders Encouraged to Collaborate

    The Dar es Salaam Regional Administrative Secretary, Ms. Rehema Madenge, has urged health stakeholders in the region to work closely with the Medical Supply Department (MSD) to improve services and resolve various challenges facing the health supply chain in the region.

    Ms. Madenge made the statement today, while opening a working session between the Medical Supply Department (MSD), Dar es Salaam Zone and its health stakeholders in the region, who met to discuss the best way to improve the health supply chain, services and relations between the two parties.

  • Global Fund CEO - Visits MSD

    Dar es Salaam.

    The CEO of the Global Fund for Development, Mr. Peter Sands, has visited the Medicines Depot (MSD) and observed how MSD carries out its responsibilities.

    During the visit, the CEO had the opportunity to visit the MSD-owned health product storage warehouses located in Keko, Dar es Salaam.

    Mr. Sands promised that the fund will continue to enable MSD to enhance access to health products, especially for Msonge projects, while commending MSD for successfully distributing mosquito nets in the country.
