  • Tanzania Receives Assistance From TDB Bank

    DAR ES SALAAM:

    The Government of Tanzania has received a grant of 230 million shillings from the Trade and Development Bank (TDB) to purchase protective equipment to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Handing over the grant on behalf of the bank’s management, the Director of Public Relations and Investment, Ms. Mary Kamari, said her bank has provided the grant to support the fight against COVID-19, while promising to continue collaborating with the Tanzanian government in various strategic projects to bring development to Tanzanians.

  • SADC Executive Secretary Visits MSD

    DAR ES SALAAM:

    The Secretary General of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Hon. Elias Mpedi Magosi, together with his delegation, have visited the Headquarters of the Medicines Depot (MSD), located in Dar es Salaam, with the aim of observing how the institution is carrying out its responsibilities in parallel with receiving feedback on the progress of the implementation of the Joint Procurement Scheme (SPPS) for the member countries.

  • MSD Director General, Highlights MSD's Achievements Under Phase Six

    DODOMA:

    The Director General of MSD, Mr. Mavere Tukai today on 17/10/2022, met with journalists in Dodoma Region and gave a report on the achievements of the Medicines Depot (MSD) under the sixth phase government, led by Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

    Mr. Mavere said that in the 2022/23 financial year, MSD has continued to make operational improvements as directed by Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, with these changes aimed at strengthening access to health products as well as good governance.

  • MSD Participates in the 2022 SHIMIWI Games

    The Drug Store (MSD) continues to participate in the 2022 Federation of Government and Regional Departments (SHIMIWI) Sports Competition, which has been in full swing since October 1, 2022 in Tanga, with various sports to clear the dust including netball, tug of war for men and women and football, cycling, card games, athletics, goalkeeping and many others.

    MSD, represented by a delegation of 35 athletes, has registered to participate in several sports, including tug of war, netball, football, cycling, athletics, card games and goalkeeping to show their skills.

    The leader also encouraged these foreign manufacturers to come and invest in Tanzania by entering into partnerships with the government.
