    The Tanzania Medical Devices Agency (MSD) through its Quality Control Unit has continued with the exercise of monitoring the quality of medicines, medical devices and laboratory reagents that have been distributed to customers to ensure that these health products, especially medicines, continue to have the required quality.

  • MSD Improves Hemodialysis Services - Tumbi Hospital

    COAST

    The Coast Regional Referral Hospital - Tumbi has started providing a new dialysis service for kidney patients. This service has been provided after the Medical Depot (MSD) completed the installation of 10 modern dialysis machines, after the Tumbi Referral Hospital improved the infrastructure to enable the service to be available.

    The move is a continuation of the improvements in health services in the country carried out by the sixth phase government through the Ministry of Health.

  • Njombe Regional Commissioner Visits MSD-Idofi Factory

    NJOMBE

    The Njombe Regional Commissioner, Hon. Antony Mtaka and the Njombe Regional Security and Safety Committee have visited the Medical Supply (MSD) factory for producing hand gloves located in Idofi, Makambako, whose construction is 70 percent complete.

    Mhe. Mtaka said the factory is important for the health sector as it will reduce the use of foreign currency to buy the product abroad and reduce the challenge of obtaining hand gloves in the country.

  • MSD Receives a Shipment of HIV and Syphilis Tests

    In commemoration of World AIDS Day, MSD has continued to receive and distribute various health products to combat and control the spread of HIV and syphilis.

    MSD Director General Mavere Tukai has explained that among the health products that are currently in great demand and continue to be distributed by MSD to health care facilities are tests to test for HIV and the sexually transmitted disease syphilis (HIV/Syphilis Duo).

  • Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, Announces Favor for the Health Sector in the Country

    PRIME MINISTER Kassim Majaliwa has said that His Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan is determined to continue strengthening the provision of health services by facilitating access to experts, medicines, reagents and medical equipment.

    Mr. Majaliwa made the statement today, October 26, 2022, after witnessing the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Tanzania Medical Depot (MSD) and the Chungcheongbuck Provincial Government in South Korea.
