Contract Compliance Unit

The Contract Compliance Unit, established in February 2023 under the Directorate of Logistics and Operations, ensures the effective and lawful execution of all procurement contracts at MSD.

The unit’s core mandate is to enhance procurement efficiency by monitoring and enforcing compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and performance standards between MSD and its suppliers.

Working closely with the Procurement Management Unit (PMU) and other departments, the Contract Compliance Unit oversees contract implementation, tracks delivery timelines, reviews performance, and manages supplier correspondence. It also identifies non-compliant suppliers and recommends appropriate actions to safeguard MSD’s interests and resources.

Key functions include ensuring all contracts are executed in accordance with legal and institutional requirements, facilitating amendments when necessary, and maintaining comprehensive records of contract management. Through close monitoring and communication, the unit strengthens accountability, enhances supplier relationships, and supports timely delivery of quality health commodities.

By fostering a culture of compliance and performance excellence, the Contract Compliance Unit contributes significantly to MSD’s operational reliability and reputation for integrity in health supply chain management.
