  • The Government, Through MSD, Dar es Salaam Zone Distributes Medical Equipment Worth 930 Million - Ulanga District.

    THE GOVERNMENT through the Dar es Salaam Medical Store (MSD) has distributed medical equipment worth more than shillings 930 million for 24 health centers in the Ulanga District Council.

    Speaking yesterday in the same district in Morogoro region, Ulanga constituency MP Salim Hasham said they have received the medical equipment and medicines worth more than shillings 900 million for 23 health centers in the Ulanga District Council.

  • President Samia Sends a Smile to the People of Magazini Ward - Namtumbo District

    Magazini Health Center in Magazini Ward, Namtumbo District Council, Ruvuma Region has received assistance with modern surgical equipment, including for pregnant women, worth more than Shs. 100 million to help improve health services in the ward, which borders Mozambique.

    Describing the operation of the medical equipment, the Manager of the Medical Depot (MSD) in the Iringa region, Robert Lugembe, said that the equipment will help many people, some of whom are currently suffering from diseases that require surgery, including pregnant women.

  • Challenges in the Distribution of Medicines and Medical Equipment - Ludewa District

    Geographical challenges in Ludewa District have been causing difficulties in delivering medicines and medical supplies to health centers as well as transporting patients especially when they receive referrals from peripheral centers to the District Hospital.

    This situation is due to some villages being located on cliffs and others on the shores of Lake Nyasa where they are forced to travel by water for three to twelve hours.

  • Government Disburses 222.472 Million Medical Supplies to Singida Region

    THE Sixth Phase Government under President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan through the Medical Supply (MSD) has handed over medical equipment to Singida Region worth approximately Shs. 222.472 million, in order to improve health services in the Region.

    The equipment includes generators, along with equipment that will be used to care for premature babies and other services that have been handed over to Ikungi District Hospital, Sepuka Health Center and Singida District Hospital, Ilongero.

  • USAID and PEPFAR Senior Leadership Visit MSD in Iringa Region

    USAID Tanzania Resident Director Craig Hart and PEPFAR Tanzania Executive Coordinator Jessica Greene have visited MSD Iringa Region to observe how MSD is implementing its responsibilities, especially the procurement, storage, and distribution of health products funded by the Funds.

    Speaking at different times during the visit, Mr. Hart and Ms. Greene have commended MSD for its expertise in managing and distributing project products to beneficiaries who are citizens.
