  • President Samia Provides Medical Equipment Worth 691 Million To 10 States - Dar es Salaam

    PRESIDENT Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has continued to make major investments in the health sector, especially in maternal and child care, with the goal of reducing deaths caused by unsafe abortions.

    This was stated today by Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamila as he handed over medical equipment worth Shs. 691 million provided by the government to the members of parliament from 10 constituencies in Dar es Salaam region.

  • Minister Ummy Launches Distribution of Medical Equipment for Maternal and Child Reproductive Health Services

    Health Minister Ummy Mwalimu launches the distribution of equipment to improve maternal, child and reproductive health services worth more than 14.9 billion shillings which will be distributed in 214 states and councils across the country.

    Speaking in Dar es Salaam at the Medical Distribution Center (MSD) Headquarters during the launch, Minister Ummy said the launch of the distribution of such equipment is aimed at improving maternal, child and reproductive health services and strengthening safe childbirth in the country.

  • Health Secretary Urges MSD to Care for Its Customers

    The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. John Jingu, has directed the Medical Distribution Company (MSD) to care for customers and involve them in the entire issue of providing them with health product supply chain services in the country.

    Dr. Jingu said this while opening the twenty-second (22) session of the MSD Staff Council in Morogoro Region where he stressed that caring for customers is the basis for serving them according to their needs.

  • MSD Delivers Medical Equipment Worth 114 Million - Mtae Health Center

    THE GOVERNMENT has provided Shs. 114 million to the Mtae Health Center in Lushoto District, Tanga Region, which has been used to purchase medical equipment through the Medical Supply Department (MSD) and thus expects to start providing surgical services by the end of December 2023.

    The move by the center to start providing the service is due to major improvements made by the Government to convert the Mtae village dispensary into a Health Center so that citizens can get better and closer services.

  • President Samia Closes Health Sector - Mvomero District

    PRESIDENT Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has closed the Mvomero office to the government to hand over medicines and medical equipment worth more than 1.61 billion shs.

    This was said yesterday by Mvomero District Commissioner Judithi Nguli when the Medical Supply Department (MSD) handed over medicines and medical equipment worth more than 1.61 billion shs. to health centers and hospitals in the district.
