  • Members of the MSD Workers' Council Visit Tarangire National Park

    Members of the Medical Depot (MSD) Staff Council have visited Tarangire National Park with the aim of seeing the various attractions available in the park which is located within the Manyara region.

    The visit has come to increase the enthusiasm and encourage various visitors and staff to visit our tourist attractions in the country, as a support for the efforts of the Sixth Phase Government, under President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, in promoting tourism in the country.

  • Minister of Health Hon. Jenista Mhagama, commends MSD for purchasing medical equipment for mothers and children

    The Minister of Health, Hon. Jenista Mhagama, has commended the Medicines Depot (MSD) for continuing to ensure that it purchases essential equipment needed to help save the lives of premature babies.

    Minister Mhagama said this today while handing over special medical equipment to help children with breathing problems, which she handed over to the Regional Chief Medical Officer of Dar Es Salaam Dr. Mohammed Mang'una on behalf of all General Medical Officers in the country.

  • Parliamentary Committee on Health and AIDS, Satisfied with the Implementation of the Gloves Project - MSD Idofi

    The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and AIDS Affairs, expresses satisfaction with the implementation steps of the MSD Handball Factory project, located in Idofi, Makambako, Njombe Region.

    This was stated on August 7, 2024 by the Chairperson of the committee, Hon. Christina Mnzava, when the committee visited the project with the aim of reviewing and receiving progress reports on the implementation of the project.

  • Health Sector Leaders Urged to Collaborate with MSD

    MOROGORO.

    Health managers and stakeholders in Morogoro region have been urged to work closely with the Medicines Department (MSD), so that together they can resolve and improve the availability of health products in the region, for the welfare of the people and the development of the nation as a whole.

  • SADC Launches Health Products Information System Database for Member States

    The Southern African Development Community (SADC) has launched a special database for the collection and processing of information on medicines and medical supplies from various manufacturers and suppliers around the world, where the system will facilitate the acquisition and purchase of health products from member countries.

    The launch took place on 14/05/2024 in Dar es Salaam, and was witnessed by the Medicines Depots of SADC countries, as well as various leaders of the Health Sector of the community, who met for two days in the city.
