  • MSD Delivers Medical Equipment Worth 114 Million - Mtae Health Center

    THE GOVERNMENT has provided Shs. 114 million to the Mtae Health Center in Lushoto District, Tanga Region, which has been used to purchase medical equipment through the Medical Supply Department (MSD) and thus expects to start providing surgical services by the end of December 2023.

    The move by the center to start providing the service is due to major improvements made by the Government to convert the Mtae village dispensary into a Health Center so that citizens can get better and closer services.

  • President Samia Closes Health Sector - Mvomero District

    PRESIDENT Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has closed the Mvomero office to the government to hand over medicines and medical equipment worth more than 1.61 billion shs.

    This was said yesterday by Mvomero District Commissioner Judithi Nguli when the Medical Supply Department (MSD) handed over medicines and medical equipment worth more than 1.61 billion shs. to health centers and hospitals in the district.

  • The Government, Through MSD, Dar es Salaam Zone Distributes Medical Equipment Worth 930 Million - Ulanga District.

    THE GOVERNMENT through the Dar es Salaam Medical Store (MSD) has distributed medical equipment worth more than shillings 930 million for 24 health centers in the Ulanga District Council.

    Speaking yesterday in the same district in Morogoro region, Ulanga constituency MP Salim Hasham said they have received the medical equipment and medicines worth more than shillings 900 million for 23 health centers in the Ulanga District Council.

  • President Samia Sends a Smile to the People of Magazini Ward - Namtumbo District

    Magazini Health Center in Magazini Ward, Namtumbo District Council, Ruvuma Region has received assistance with modern surgical equipment, including for pregnant women, worth more than Shs. 100 million to help improve health services in the ward, which borders Mozambique.

    Describing the operation of the medical equipment, the Manager of the Medical Depot (MSD) in the Iringa region, Robert Lugembe, said that the equipment will help many people, some of whom are currently suffering from diseases that require surgery, including pregnant women.

  • Challenges in the Distribution of Medicines and Medical Equipment - Ludewa District

    Geographical challenges in Ludewa District have been causing difficulties in delivering medicines and medical supplies to health centers as well as transporting patients especially when they receive referrals from peripheral centers to the District Hospital.

    This situation is due to some villages being located on cliffs and others on the shores of Lake Nyasa where they are forced to travel by water for three to twelve hours.
