    The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) under its Chairman, Hon. Naghenjwa Kaboyoka has visited and reviewed the progress of the construction of a modern warehouse project to store health products being built by the Medicines Department (MSD) in the Kizota area, Dodoma Region.

  • MSD PROVIDES A 75 KVA GENERATOR FOR KITETO DISTRICT HOSPITAL

    Kiteto District Council Hospital in Manyara Region has overcome the challenge of interrupting some medical services such as surgery and when there is a power outage after the MSD General Depot handed over a generator worth 65 million shillings that will be used to improve health services at the hospital.

  • MSD Distributing 1.55 Million Nets to Shinyanga Region

    The government through the Tanzania Medical Distribution (MSD) expects to distribute a total of one and a half million mosquito nets to citizens at the household level in Shinyanga Region, as a special campaign aimed at combating and eradicating malaria in the country.

    This was stated today, February 8, 2025, by the Acting Director of Supply and Operations of MSD, Mr. Victor Sungusia, during the launch of the mosquito net distribution exercise in the region, through a special campaign (TMC) under the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP).

  • Minister Jenista Mhagama Commends MSD-Dodoma Modern Warehouse Construction Project

    The Minister of Health, Hon. Jenista Mhagama, on February 6, 2025, visited and inspected the progress of the construction of a modern warehouse for storing health products being built by the Medicines Dispensary (MSD) in the Kizota area, Dodoma Region, and commended the progress of the strategic project which has reached 85%.

    Minister Mhagama noted that the government of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has made major reforms in the Health sector, and has continued to focus on the guiding pillars of the system, which facilitate access to quality services in the Health sector.

    MSD stakeholders and clients have been reminded to continue to work closely together to ensure that they continue to improve access to health products in the country and to become a mechanism for paying off debts to enable MSD to have good capital to continue purchasing health products.
