The Zambian House of Representatives Committee on Health, Development and Social Services has been impressed by the move of the Medical Depot (MSD) to start producing some health products using its local experts.

This was stated today, 26/5/2022 after the Health Committee from Zambia visited MSD with the aim of learning and exchanging experiences on issues related to the supply chain of health products.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Chairman of the Zambian House of Representatives Committee on Health, Development and Social Services, Hon. Dr. Christopher K. Kalila said they were impressed by the move of the Medical Depot (MSD) to start producing some health products using its local experts.

Hon. Dr. Kalila added that MSD Tanzania is like a twin of the Medical Depot in Zambia, as their law has also been amended to enable the Depot to start producing health products.

"It is good that our two institutions are close to exchange experiences and expertise in various areas to jointly push the agenda of establishing health product industries and eliminating dependence on imported products while reducing costs," said Dr. Kalila.
