MSD Director General Major General Gabriel Saul Mhidze has said that having local experts who can use laboratory equipment and repair them themselves is a good step that will reduce costs. 

He said this when he spoke to laboratory experts, design technicians and medical equipment engineers from MSD, various councils and hospitals in the country, who are undergoing training on how to install, use and maintain various laboratory machines that are expected to be installed nationwide. These laboratory machines will reduce the cost of diagnostic tests by more than fifty percent.
