MSD Employees Empowered, on Quality Management Systems
The Medical Device Depot (MSD) staff who manage the Quality Management Systems (QMS) have been empowered to carry out and manage their responsibilities effectively and professionally in the workplace.
Speaking at the closing of the training, the Acting Manager of Quality Management at MSD, Ms. Estella Meena said that the special training is expected to be a catalyst to ensure that the requirements of the international quality certification, namely ISO 9001:2015, are fully implemented, thus improving performance and ensuring that the goals of the institution are achieved.
"As you know, MSD has an international quality certification, from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) which is ISO 9001:2015, so it is our responsibility to ensure that we live and implement the performance standards we have set for ourselves, based on this certification" said Meena.
Ms. Meena added that, apart from the certification, there are various laws, policies and guidelines that guide the performance of MSD, so the training has also trained the employees to ensure that they carry out their duties, according to the requirements of their workplaces.
The Quality Management System training has also included education on risks and methods to identify and control them
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Mr. John Missana indicated that the training has come at the right time, as it is of great importance in the implementation of MSD activities, so they will use it to increase the performance of the institution, in order to implement the goals of the institution in practice.
The three-day training, held in Morogoro region, was coordinated by MSD and delivered by the Institute of Risk Management in Tanzania (IRMT).
