MSD Commended for Operational Changes and Improvements Over 30 Years
Shinyanga Municipal Council Chief Medical Officer Dr. Elisha Robert Ndaki has commended the Medicines Dispensary (MSD) for improving customer service, along with the timely availability of health products, which has enabled the reduction of customer and citizen complaints in general.
Dr. Ndaki made the commendation today, 21/11/2024, in front of the Member of the MSD Board of Trustees, Mr. Ally Seleman, when a delegation from MSD visited the Kambarage Health Center in Shinyanga Municipality.
Speaking in front of the MSD delegation, Dr. Ndaki commended MSD for completing thirty (30) years of operation, while noting the improvements in its services and how they have helped in the availability of health products.
Dr. Ndaki noted that the change in the supply chain of health products from four (4) to six (6) months per year has brought relief to the citizens as currently the availability of health products at the facilities is satisfactory, where currently the availability has increased to 75 to 80 percent, compared to less than 50 percent in previous years.
In another step, Dr. Ndaki explained how improvements in customer service between MSD and its customers have helped in improving the availability of health products.
For his part, MSD Board of Trustees Member Mr. Ally Seleman has emphasized that MSD will continue to collaborate closely with its customers, in parallel with working on all the feedback provided by customers with the aim of improving performance and bringing productivity to the community.
He added that MSD is continuing the process of internal changes in operations to ensure that it meets the needs of its customers, and increases efficiency and productivity in serving the citizens.
