MSD Comes Up with a Strategic Plan to Serve Corporate Customers
The Medical Device (MSD) has met with its Corporate Customers served by the MSD Dodoma Zone to discuss and set joint strategies to strengthen and improve the availability of health products for the special services provided by these customers.
Speaking during the two-day meeting, which was held at the MSD Dodoma Headquarters Sub-Office, the MSD Dodoma Zone Manager, Ms. Mwanashehe Jumaa, said that there has been a challenge in serving MSD's Corporate Customers, due to the special services they provide, as some of their needs for medicines and medical equipment are not in the MSD product catalog, thus leading to these needs being misplaced in MSD warehouses when these customers need them.
Ms. Jumaa said that due to this situation, MSD has come up with a special plan to meet and discuss with these stakeholders, in order to come up with a solution to the challenge, including identifying their needs, and setting a special procurement plan for them.
And the Laboratory Specialist from MSD, Peter Mashosho, said that MSD, recognizing the importance of these customers in strengthening the supply chain of health products, MSD Management has come up with a special desk to manage and monitor the needs of these major customers within MSD, to ensure that all non-catalogue products are available reliably, and on time to eliminate the inconvenience to these customers.
For her part, the representative of these customers, Ms. Emmiliana Cosmas Bernardo, Chief Pharmacist from Benjamin Mkapa Hospital, has commended the MSD leadership for this step of finding a solution for these products, as it will eliminate the inconvenience of searching for these special products outside MSD, which takes a long time and is available at high prices.
In addition, she added that the reliable availability of these products will help improve services to the public and eliminate the issue of lack of services at health care facilities.
