MSD Board of Trustees Delegation Visits Simiyu Regional Hospitals

MSD Board of Trustees Member Mr. Ally Seleman, accompanied by the Acting Manager of Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring today on 20/11/24, visited the MSD Mwanza Zone and saw for themselves how the Zone is carrying out its responsibilities, as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations since the establishment of MSD.

Through the visit, Mr. Selemani received a report on the performance of the Zone, in line with the various plans that the Zone has set for itself to ensure that it improves its services.

Mr. Selemani commended the Zone for the way it is carrying out its responsibilities, despite the large area it serves, while promising to find solutions to some of the challenges facing the Zone, in order to increase its efficiency.

In another step, the MSD delegation, led by Mr. Selemani, visited the Simiyu Regional Referral Hospital, along with the Bariadi District Hospital, to assess the availability of MSD services in the Region.

He also noted that the quality of MSD products has been assured, while the cost of these products is more friendly than other suppliers.

And the Acting Medical Officer of Bariadi District Hospital, Dr. Maghembe Kuligwa, has reduced the availability of health products at the hospital to more than 90 percent, while commending MSD for improving its services, for example the distribution of Medicines in parallel with the availability of Medical Equipment, compared to previous years.
