Kongwa District Commissioner Gives Opinion - Use of Nets

Kongwa.

Kongwa District Commissioner Hon. Remidius M. Emmanuel has urged all residents and parents in the district to make good use of the government-provided mosquito nets for their intended purpose, so that the government's mission to combat malaria can be achieved.

Hon. Remidius made the statement today while officially launching the mosquito net distribution exercise in schools in the district, which is being carried out by the Medical Supply Company (MSD).

"The government's goal in distributing mosquito nets is to protect our children against the dangerous disease of Malaria, so I ask that they be used as intended and for uses that are contrary to the government's goal because doing so is a legal offense. Said Hon. Remidius.

For his part, the MSD Dodoma Zone Manager, Mr. John Sipendi, said MSD has planned well to distribute mosquito nets to all the schools identified and within the scheduled time.

" We as MSD have planned to ensure that we carry out this distribution exercise effectively and on time, so I give them a hof because no school will lack mosquito nets.

Mr. Sipendi added that distribution vehicles are already in the district, and a total of 87,038 mosquito nets will be distributed to 123 primary schools.
