MSD Board of Trustees, Approved the Distribution of Medical Equipment to Facilitate Contraceptives for Mother and Child
MSD Board of Trustees Member Dr. Ritah Mutagonda, who has visited clients served by the Kilimanjaro Zone, is pleased with the implementation of the distribution of modern equipment to facilitate contraception for mothers and children.
The Board member said this when they visited the Uru Kyaseni health center, where among other things he said that the government through MSD facilitating the distribution of such equipment will reduce the number of patients seeking services at the District and regional referral hospitals.
And the Medical Officer of the Health Center Emmanuel Makundi said that the center currently provides body care services, surgery and even oral and dental services, which were previously unavailable.
He added that the availability of health products at the center is currently 90 percent, and requested to improve the availability of health products, to reduce the need to buy them outside MSD.
The visit of the MSD Board and Management Delegation to the MSD Kilimanjaro Region comes as a continuation of MSD's 30th anniversary celebrations, where MSD visits its customers in all its Regions, with the aim of obtaining feedback on the various services provided by MSD.
The MSD Kilimanjaro Region practically serves health care facilities located in the Kilimanjaro, Arusha and Manyara Regions.
