MSD Athletes Provide Social Support to Ngamiani Health Center

The MSD athletes participating in the SHIMUTA 2024 competition in Tanga region have used today's holiday to visit the Ngamiani Health Center in Tanga region and provide health products to the Mother and Child Ward.

The Head Nurse of the Center, Mr. Bahati Shiminogeni, has thanked the athletes for the support and said the support provided is important as it goes to help them with their hygiene practices when they receive services in the ward. “I am pleased with the MSD athletes because there are currently many athletes in Tanga Region but I am surprised to see MSD players visiting and seeing for themselves how services are provided here at our center,” added Shiminigeni.

On his part, the Representative of the Tanga Zone Manager, Mr. Grant Mwapele said MSD athletes have decided to provide this support of small health products including lotions, diapers, soap and wipers that will help mothers and children in hygiene when they are in the ward.

However, Mr. Mwapele has explained to the staff that MSD has enough health products including beds and mattresses so they can order when they have a challenge of shortage or deterioration of those products that are important to the center.
